Shih-Cheng was born and raised in Taiwan. He received his B.S. in chemical engineering at National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) in 2019. During his bachelor’s degree, he worked with Prof. Yu-Chen Hu to optimize the purification process of Coxsackievirus A16 virus-like particles vaccine.

He is currently a Ph.D. student in chemical engineering at National Taiwan University (NTU) under the guidance of Prof. Yi-Pei Li. His main research interests are related to kinetics, thermodynamics, theoretical calculations, and machine learning for application in chemical engineering. He is the developer of the APE software, which simulates thermodynamics and kinetic properties while taking anharmonic effects into account. He joined the Green Group in February 2022 as a visiting student. In his spare time, he likes to work out and cook.
