I was born and raised in Seoul, Korea until I was 14. Then I moved to Europe and lived in Prague, Czech Republic and Vienna, Austria for 2 years each until I finished high school.

I went to UC Berkeley for undergrad and obtained my Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. While in undergrad, I did research on synthesizing gecko-mimicking adhesive materials. After doing experimental work during undergrad, I decided to change my gear completely and joined Prof. Green's group in 2016 to do computational research. My current research focus is on improving liquid phase kinetic modeling in RMG, particularly by including solvent effect on barrier change and equilibrium.
