Andrew Cooksy Andy Cooksy is a professor in the chemistry department at San Diego State University on sabbatical in the group for the 2023-24 year. His work has focused on electronic structure calculations and high-resolution spectroscopy of floppy, combustion-related radicals. Before joining the SDSU faculty, he got his PhD with Rich Saykally at UC Berkeley, and held a joint postdoc position with Bill Klemperer's and Pat Thaddeus' groups at Harvard. His goal with the Green group is to use RMG to see if the interesting vibrational dynamics of the radicals he's been studying actually have any implications for the reaction chemistry.
