Emad Al Ibrahim Emad was born and raised in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. He received his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington in 2017. He then earned a master's degree at KAUST in 2018 where he worked on computational fluid dynamics. He then gained practical experience through internships at Aramco's Power Systems Department and Lucid Motors Thermal Systems team. He then earned a PhD from KAUST, where he worked with Professor Aamir Farooq on machine learning-enabled spectroscopic gas, fuel, and water-cut sensing. He joined the Green Group at MIT in January 2024 as an Ibn Rush postdoctoral fellow. He plans to work on predictive models for solvation properties and explore techno-economic studies.
