Yu-Chi was born and raised in Taiwan. She received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Quantitative Finance from National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) in 2022. During her undergraduate studies, she conducted research under the guidance of Prof. Jane Wang, exploring topics related to biomedical applications.

She is currently a second-year Ph.D. student in Chemical Engineering at National Taiwan University (NTU), advised by Prof. Yi-Pei Li. Her research focuses on applying quantum mechanics (QM) and hybrid quantum mechanics/molecular mechanics (QM/MM) methods to simulate chemical reactions and material behavior. Her work aims to optimize experimental design, enhance process efficiency, and promote environmental sustainability. Throughout her Ph.D., she has worked on a range of projects, including metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), ionic liquids, high-entropy materials, and perovskite systems. In the Green Group, she will focus on quantum chemistry and kinetics simulations for ammonia combustion, as well as studies related to techno-economic analysis.

Beyond research, Yu-Chi has industry experience through summer internships at Lam Research and TSMC, where she conducted some R&D research. In addition to her academic pursuits, she enjoys sports and outdoor activities. Coming from a family that values both physical and mental well-being, she trained in triathlons as a child. In her free time, she enjoys running, fitness training, hiking, photography, listening to music, and traveling.
