Andrea Aude was raised in Maryland and is currently a freshman at MIT planning to major in chemical engineering. She is working with Dr. Esther Heid to research the influence of template size on algorithm accuracy of retrosynthesis and forward reaction applications. As she continues to work with Dr. Heid, she is looking forward to exploring enzymatic reactions and working on developing a model that can identify inhibitors of known enzymes, as well as diving deeper into cheminformatics.

Outside of class and research, she’s a community service deputy for Kappa Alpha Theta and on the community service executive committee for MIT’s chapter of Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. Andrea enjoys exploring the city, hiking, and drawing.
